IAEE's international online conference aimed to bridge the latest scientific advances in energy economics and its relevance to practical experiences in the energy sector. It also hosted 180 parallel sessions and numerous poster sessions. The digital edition reached out to a wider global audience, regardless of time zone, and provided a unique online platform for academics, policymakers, and business leaders from around the world to present and discuss the latest economic research on pressing energy issues in an open, non-partisan setting.
The 7th IAEE Asia-Oceania Conference 2020 spanned a wide range of topics on Energy in Transition; including investment in renewable sources of energy, oil and gas, hydrogen, energy demand, transport, market design, regulation, low-carbon economy and energy policy. Contributions were invited from energy economists, energy management specialists, research economists, government officials and policy advisers.

Energy cooperation features prominently in the win-win cooperation among Asian countries. They have had cooperation in the field of fossil fuels, such as oil and gas. How should energy development and cooperation in Asia be addressed? What kind of competition and cooperation patterns should be taken and how should they be applied? Does the current energy supply and transport infrastructure ensure long-term security? What alternative solutions exist? At the 6th IAEE Asian Conference these topics and more will be discussed in Wuhan, in 2-4 November 2018.
The 3rd IAEE Eurasian Conference will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, on October 18-20, 2018.
South Caucasian and Central Asian countries have rich hydrocarbon, hydro, renewable and alternative energy resources and geopolitical advantages.
