As we step into the future, Greece is called upon to re-introduce its goals and position to achieve EU's climate obligations and emission target reductions, while moving forward in the energy transition era, an era of possibilities and opportunities.

Green cutting-edge technologies and innovative tools stand as beacons of hope in the battle against climate change and environmental degradation, paving the way for the Greek energy market transformation. Energy storage systems, offshore wind farms, applications of hydrogen and other renewable gases drive sustainable development and the Market transformation. On top of that Greece undergoes a transition regarding the development of RES projects. From a subsidy model, the country intends to turn to financial instruments and competition to fund domestic investment projects, providing PPAs with added value. Greece is being quickly transformed into an energy hub of the region, but at the same time, a strategic gateway for the entry of energy resources to Southeastern Europe. In the past few months, various energy-related projects have been announced in Greece.

- Has the country achieved its several milestones on our journey toward the net-zero era?
- Has the revamped Greek NECP and the current regulatory frameworks brought up the Greek energy sector potentials to investors
- Could we consider Greece as an emerging PPA force?
- Is the current narrative of climate action and sustainable practices strong enough to sweep public opinion and engage citizens as an integral part of designing successful clean energy policies?
