A student is someone who is enrolled in a degree-granting program (either undergraduate or graduate) at an institution of higher learning and registered full-time according to the definition of his/her respective academic institution, and who is not employed full-time. Students must submit a certificate of studies when making an application.
In particular, note that post-docs and part-time students would not normally qualify as students for IAEE purposes.
Only HAEE student members, according to the definition above, may apply for student scholarships to HAEE conferences and participate in HAEE conference events that are designated for student participation. The requirement must be met at the time of initial submission of research to the conference in question.
Thus, a member who is a full-time student at the time of initial submission of research for presentation at a HAEE conference will be eligible to participate in events designated for students even if that person’s status changes such that he/she is employed full-time at the time of the conference in question.
For leading businesses and institutions involved in the energy sector, membership in the HAEE is automatically combined with membership in the IAEE. The combined membership dues include € 2.500 a year and a one-off registration payment of €500. Membership through an Affiliate is on a calendar year basis. Please make sure that you have completed the registration process via HAEE website on due time, as the enrollment of the members to the IAEE takes place twice a year, January 31 and March 15.
Individuals may join the HAEE directly and the IAEE through the HAEE by selecting the HAEE/IAEE combined membership. HAEE, as the Greek Affiliate, will collect the dues and forward them to Headquarters (IAEE) to establish membership. At the beginning of each year the Headquarters (IAEE) bills the Affiliate (HAEE) for the dues of its IAEE members. The combined membership dues include €230 a year and a one-off registration fee of €50. Membership through an Affiliate is on a calendar year basis.
