The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics are organizing the 9th Southeast Europe Energy Forum I SEEF2025 on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the MET Hotel in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Forum is taking place one day before the official opening of the 2025 Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).

The Southeast Europe Energy Forum returns at a critical time for the region’s energy transformation. With the theme of interconnectivity, resilience, and innovation, this year’s Forum will convene leading policymakers, CEOs, regulators, and experts from across Europe and beyond. Together, they will engage in high-level discussions, addressing the most pressing issues in the Southeast European energy landscape — from cross-border grid integration and renewable investment to energy security, industrial competitiveness, and emerging technologies such as AI in energy.

This year’s agenda brings together an unparalleled lineup of decision-makers and thought leaders from across the SE Europe region, Europe and the United States, energy executives, and financial leaders.

As every year Energy Ministers from SE European countries are expected to participate in a roundtable discussion on the Southeast Europe and Eastern Mediterranean Region: Energy Cooperation towards Energy Security beyond borders and U.S. Ambassadors of the region are going to exchange their insights on The U.S. perspective on energy developments in the region.

The Forum will explore actionable strategies for accelerating the region’s green transition while strengthening energy resilience and ensuring economic competitiveness. With dedicated sessions on the Vertical Gas Corridor, maritime energy, sustainable finance, and women’s leadership in energy and others, the Forum aims to shape a cohesive, forward-looking energy agenda for Southeast Europe.

Among the topics to be presented and discussed are the following:
