Dear members and friends, Τhe new Chart of the Month Vol.42 Connecting to the Future: Investing in Grids is hot off the press! Greece is entering a new era in regional electricity trade. The country achieved over 3 TWh of net electricity exports in 2025, signaling a major transition from historical importer to emerging exporter. Supported by strong generation growth and an expanding network of interconnections with five neighboring countries, Greece is strengthening its role as a regional electricity hub. Existing links already bolster grid stability, energy security, and market integration across Southeast Europe. Looking ahead, eight additional interconnection projects with Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East could significantly elevate Greece’s geopolitical and strategic energy position. This growing infrastructure network is not only reshaping domestic market dynamics but also positioning Greece as a critical gateway for future cross-border energy flows. 👉Check out our new publication.
