As we step into the future, Greece is called upon to re-introduceĀ its goals and position to achieveĀ EU's climate obligations and emission target reductions, whileĀ moving forward in theĀ energy transition era, an era ofĀ possibilities and opportunities.Ā

GreenĀ cutting-edgeĀ technologies and innovativeĀ toolsĀ stand as beacons of hope in the battle against climate change and environmental degradation, paving the way forĀ the Greek energy market transformation. Energy storage systems, offshore wind farms,Ā applications of hydrogen and other renewable gases driveĀ sustainable developmentĀ and the Market transformation. On top of thatĀ Greece undergoes a transition regarding the development of RES projects. From a subsidy model, the country intends to turn to financial instruments and competition to fund domestic investment projects, providing PPAs with added value.Ā Greece is being quickly transformed into an energy hub of the region, but at the same time, a strategic gateway for the entry of energy resources to Southeastern Europe. In the past few months, various energy-related projects have been announced in Greece.Ā

- Has the country achieved its several milestones on our journey toward the net-zero era?
- Has the revamped Greek NECPĀ and the current regulatory frameworks brought upĀ the Greek energy sector potentialsĀ to investors?Ā
- Could we consider Greece as an emerging PPA force?
- Is the current narrative of climate action and sustainable practices strong enough to sweep public opinion and engage citizens as an integral part of designing successful clean energy policies?
