📘 In Review

HAEE new publication: "Chart of the Month"

Each month we shine a light on a new topic of the energy sector by analysing the data and exploring possible implications. This small monthly publication is all about data visualisation of today's most intriguing trends.

For January, we prepared a graphic representation of the electricity generation mix in EU27 countries. Analysis depicts that Greece ranks 5th in oil use, 6th in Natural Gas, 13th in Lignite and RES.

  

For February the Chart of the Month depicts the diversification of gas supply sources in Europe.

  
HAEE publication: “E-mobility special issue”

Following January’s 5th Ecomobility Conference, featuring a top-notch array of stakeholders, policymakers, and academics in Greece, HAEE edited the “E-mobility special issue”. The issue includes Greece’s electromobility Market review, touching upon new technologies, funding mechanisms and future aspirations. HAEE report: “The 6th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium Report”

IAEE Webinar: "Is nuclear energy a real split for the European green movement?"

On March 9, at 17.00 (EET) Prof. Spiros Papaefthimiou, President of HAEE and Prof. Samuel Furfari, President of the European Society of Engineers and Industrialists will discuss upon the inclusion of nuclear in the list of green technologies under the new Taxonomy CDA.

Could nuclear be seen as a relatively clean transition fuel that will help EU to decarbonize?

  
HAEE - ELLET event: "The cost of energy transition and islands' decarbonisation"

The Hellenic Association for Energy Economics along with the Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage (ELLET) will organise an event on March 22, at 14.00, focusing on "The cost of energy transition and islands' decarbonisation" (in Greek).
