In 2024, Green Bonds exceeded €3 billion, driven by major banks and Metlen Energy & Metals, while PPC issued €1.4 billion in Sustainability‑Linked Bonds. Greece scored 65 on Europe’s ESG ranking, showing progress but leaving room for improvement to access more sustainable capital. Globally, Europe led with 696 sustainable loan deals worth $363 billion, funding renewables, green buildings, efficiency, and water projects.
