Executive Summary

The European program LIFE Terra (LIFE19 CCM/NL/001200) promotes tree planting as a key action for climate crisis mitigation. Since the start of its implementation in 2020, more than 34 million trees have been planted across Europe. In parallel, the project includes awareness-raising activities for local communities, as well as educational programs for students, aimed at strengthening environmental consciousness and highlighting the importance of tree planting.

CERTH, as a partner of the project and responsible for its implementation in Greece, actively contributes to the development and application of innovative environmental solutions and ecosystem restoration strategies.
